Tour Itinerary Day 1: Travel to Interlaken
Fly to Zurich and then take the train through the beautiful Bernese Oberland to Interlaken. 3 or 4 nights accommodation has been reserved at the Hotel Chalet Swiss.
Interlaken: Nestled between lakes Thun and Brienz Interlaken has the whole region on its doorstep. Take a cruise on the lake or travel up the Harder Kulm for great views.
Day 4 or 5: Travel to Zermatt
Take the train to Spiez, board a train for Brig then change train one last time for the beautiful mountain railway to Zermatt. Guests staying 7 nights will board a train to Brig from Zurich airport. Three or four nights accommodation has been reserved at the Hotel Tschugge in Zermatt.
Zermatt: Overlooked by the Matterhorn, Zermatt is full of shops, cafés, restaurants and window boxes. Take the highest open air rack railway in Europe the Gornergrat, for a fantastic view of Monte Rosa or enjoy a trip on the highest cable car in Switzerland, the Mountain Glacier Paradise (Klein Matterhorn).
Day 8: Glacier Express journey to Davos
A full day journey on the “slowest express train in the world” from Zermatt to Davos. There is an in-seat lunch service for both routes, lunch reservations must be requested at the time of booking. There is a choice of menus costing approx. SFr 40, payable locally. Three or four nights accommodation has been reserved at the Hotel Sunstar Park.
Davos: Davos has been described as an "Alpine Metropolis", offering a wide variety of activities on water and land. Situated at an altitude of 1560m on Lake Davos, visitors will enjoy the spectacular yet accessible scenery in this world famous town. All guests receive a 'Davos Inclusive Card' giving FREE use of all mountain railways and most pubic transport in the area.
Day 11 or 12: Take the train to Zurich airport for your return flight.
