City Sights
Any trip to Lucerne should include the following highlights:
Towers of Lucerne - the old quarter of Lucerne has 9 towers of the walled city left standing, each unique in their design.
Chapel Bridge - constructed in the 14th century the bridge is named after St. Peter's Chapel located nearby.
Museums - Lucerne is home to some superb museums including the Museum of Art, Picasso museum and Nature and Transport museums.
Guided City walk - take a guided tour of the city, anything from 1 hour to a full day themed tour.
Lion Monument - carved out of natural rock in memory of the heroic deaths of the Swiss mercenaries at the Tuileries in 1792.


Festivals

Lucerne plays host to a number of festivals throughout the summer:
Altstadtfest: The "Old Town Festival" takes place at the end of June in the heart of the city. Music is played in the town's squares and stands spring up to provide refreshment.
