Highlights Advice

Regional pass: £90 covering the Bernese Oberland. This allows you unlimited journeys in the region for 3 days out of a 7 day period so take advantage and explore the superb rail system and the beautiful sights.
Sunnbüel Cable Car: £10 (approx, available locally)
This cable car takes a different route up the mountain, opening up different trails. See our "Walking" section.

Gardens

Take a short train or bus ride to the Blue Lake, a nature reserve of 50 acres of extensive woodland surrounding a crystal clear lake, and enjoy a romantic walk and picnic in beautiful surroundings. There is also a restaurant, alpine trout nursery and St Bernard dogs. The Tourist Office in Kandersteg offers occasional guided botanical walks.

A Swiss Card is included for all guests booking flights, covering the return rail transfer to resort and giving half-price reductions for mainline train, post bus and boat trips, and discounts on most cable cars and mountain railways.
