Gardens
The Schynige Platte Alpine Garden is a botanical delight not to be missed. The old fashioned cog-wheel railway leaves from Wilderswil station and takes 50 minutes to climb up to the garden affording magnificient views over the two lakes on the way. Created in 1929, it extends over 8,000 square metres. There are over 500 different flowering ferns and plants on show in this, Switzerland's highest botanical garden.
