Val di Fassa Resort Guide

Resort Information
The beautiful broad sunny Val di Fassa is one of the treasures of the spectacular Dolomites area of north-east Italy. Arguably the most beautiful mountain range in Europe the pink and orange hues of the craggy peaks change colour from daybreak to twilight. Once part of the South Tyrol the influence is obviously Austrian though the atmosphere is definitely Italian. The local people are friendly and welcoming and even speak their own local language 'Ladin'. We offer accommodation in two of the villages in the valley, Campitello and Canazei. Both are linked by a regular bus service and a riverside footpath. Excellent local wine and food can be enjoyed in many places including La Stua dei Ladins and the Rose Garden Bar is popular with Crystal guests.
Walking
The Val di Fassa is unsurpassed for walkers, ranging from the casual stroller enjoying the scenery at valley level to the dedicated hiker tackling the famous Marmolada. Over 100 mountain refuges and refreshment stops are strategically placed along the well marked paths and the local Tourist Offices provide free walking maps. Cable cars will normally be open from mid-June until the third week of September. Your Crystal walking escort will provide a programme of accompanied hikes and rambles.
