Isola Bella is reached by boat and its magnificent palace is located in a park which is a masterpiece of Italian style and laid out on 10 terraces sloping down to the lake. The magnificent gardens of the Villa Pallavicino are just 10 minutes from Stresa (and accessible by boat from other resorts). At Pallanza, the gardens of the Villa Taranto are world renowned, with more than 20,000 species of rare plants imported from around the world.
