Caorle holidays

This pretty resort is situated on the northern Adriatic coast between Venice and Trieste. Its quaint town centre, similar in some ways to the Venetian Island of Burano, has narrow streets, little squares and houses painted in pastel colours. The town's unusual 11th century bell tower makes an interesting landmark and the old Romanesque cathedral is well worth a visit for its gilded altarpiece. Caorle also has traditional shops, fashionable boutiques and elegant ice cream parlours where you can sit outside and watch the world go by.
