Two of the most picturesque resorts on the south east shore of Lake Garda, Bardolino and Lazise share many of the delights of the region with their neighbour Garda town. Encircled by vineyards and olive groves, wooded hills and cypress trees, the atmosphere is distinctly Mediterranean. Walking
There are many marked walks inland and the local Tourist Office provides free walking maps. Although some routes follow side roads, others are pleasant paths with panoramic views and rest places at some of the many vineyards for suitable refreshment. An easy stroll can be taken along the 3km promenade to Garda from Bardolino.
Activities
Water sports are high on the list of activities. There is windsurfing, water skiing at the Camping Serenella near Bardolino and lake bathing from the shingle beach. Take a pedalo or mountain bike and enjoy a game of tennis or mini-golf. Frequent buses run to Gardaland, a local theme park and to Canevaworld an exciting water park.
