Highlights Advice
From Bad Herrenalb you can easily explore the Black Forest by bus or train. Here are some suggestions of places you might like to go to: • Baden Baden: Perhaps the most famous of the Black Forest's spa towns with it's majestic centre, historic spa, cobbled streets and casino (1 hour 10 minutes direct by local bus) • Karlsruhe: (40 minutes direct by S-bahn train) • Gernsbach: A pretty riverside spa town (25 minutes direct by bus) • Freiberg: The region's capital (2 hours by train, via Karlsruhe) • Adventure World, Forbach: Activities include river rafting, river walking, kayaking, canoeing and paragliding (50 minutes by bus/S-bahn train via Gernsbach); There are also themed drives to follow if you have a car. The Spa Road takes you through all the spa towns and the German Clock Route takes you to the Black Forest Clock Museum, clock-making workshops and some of the world's biggest cuckoo clocks.
Spa
Relax in the warm thermal waters of the Siebentäler spa, located close to the village centre. In addition to the indoor and outdoor pools, there are indulgent spa treatments, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation areas and gardens. The spa is also open at night and there is nothing quite so magical as a night time swim outdoors in the warm water surrounded by the forest - on full moon nights it is open until midnight and the pools are lit with candles!
FREE spa entry: One FREE 4 hr entry is included for all Crystal customers (local charge for spa/beauty treatments & special events).
