Black Forest - Bad Herrenalb Resort Guide

Resort Information
The popular old spa town of Bad Herrenalb nestles amongst dense pine forests, in one of seven beautiful valleys in the Black Forest. Here you will find the ultimate in relaxation in the bubbling pools and spa facilities of the Siebentäler Thermal Springs. There are also a delightful historic centre, monastery ruins, handicraft shops, cafés and a market square, all surrounded by traditional half-timbered houses.
Walking
From the centre of Bad Herrenalb you'll find signs leading you out into the forest and up into the mountains along 150km of walking trails. There are numerous themed circular walks, for example the Marienweg or the Falkenstgeinfelsen route, taking you up to wonderful viewing points overlooking the town. Walk to the Dobeltal and visit the game reserve or sign up for guided walks with local guides and learn about local flora and fauna, as well as the myths and legends of the region. The local bus service is also useful if you'd like to walk further. A free walking map (Kompass WK872, 1:30K) is included in your holiday price (one per booking; coupon must be completed and postage & packing paid).
