Sokos Hotel Vaakuna in Mikkeli (first and last night).

A great central location in Mikkeli, the Vaakuna is close to the main market place and the lake. There are three saunas on the 6th floor along with a jacuzzi and the hotel has three restaurants.

Sokos Hotel Koli (2 nights)

Located on the slopes of Ukko-Koli, the hotel offers traditional hospitality of the North Karelia region.  There are four saunas, a gym and three restaurants.

Hotel Kalevala in Kuhmo (2 nights) - shown in the photo.

A high standard and peaceful hotel by Lake Lammasjarvi in Kuhmo, it offers a lake view from almost every room. The relaxation centre comprises three saunas and a solarium.

Holiday Club, Katinkulta (2 nights)

Located in Vuokatti, the Holiday Club is a hotel and lesuire complex combined. The pool area has 20 different pools, jacuzzis, contraflows, massage showers, springs and a waterslide. The Sauna World contains five saunas from Finnish or steam to Roman and traditional smoke.

A Type A Economy car is included (VW Polo or similar) with 3 doors and car radio.

Upgrade prices are as folows:

Type B Compact car (VW Golf or similar) with 5 doors, radio & air conditioning: £16 per person for 8 days. £22 per person for 11 days.

Type C Intermediate car (VW Jetta or similar) with 5 doors, radio and air conditioning: £55 per person for 8 days. £76 per person for 11 days.
