Vienna is a compact and delightful city. Much of it can be explored by foot as you admire majestic buildings and stroll through pristine parks. Relax over coffee and cake, explore museums and art galleries, swing high above on the Prater Wheel and as dusk falls enjoy a glass of local wine by the 'blue' Danube.

Out & About
Take a ride on the number 1 or 2 tram along the Ringstrasse circling the heart of Vienna. Here you'll find such magnificent buildings as the Hofburg Palace, the Parliament and the State Opera. There are museums and art galleries, parks and gardens, pedestrianised shopping areas and markets. Climb to the top of St. Stephen's Cathedral or take a ride on the Prater Wheel and enjoy the wonderful view of the city and the 'blue' Danube spread out below. Visit the impressive palaces of Schönbrunn and Belvedere. Watch a performance of the Spanish Riding School with their majestic Lippizaner stallions. Music and theatre are another integral part of Viennese life - enjoy classical concerts, recitals and operas.

Candlelit Dinner at Griechenbeisel:
This romantic evening is set in one of Vienna's oldest and most iconic restaurants. Here you can experience the traditional Vienese cuisine that made this historical restaurant a favourite meeting place for artists such as Waldmüller and Schwind and musicians including Beethoven, Schubert, Wagner and Brahms. Soak up the wonderful atmosphere by candlelight and enjoy authentic Austrian dishes.
City Tour with Schönnbrunn Palace:
A fantastic way to explore the magnificent buildings and architectural style of this Imperial city. The tour takes in a selection of the major sights including the Opera House, Hofburg Palace, Burgtheatre and the Fine Arts Museum. A visit to the Schönbrunn Palace is the highlight where you'll have a tour of the showrooms of this summer residence of the Habsburgs. You'll also have free time at the Belvedere Palace, the former residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy. From here you can use the free transfer on the Hop On Hop Off bus back to the Opera House.
