St. Anton Resort Guide

Resort Information
St. Anton is an excellent base for you to explore the higher mountains of western Austria. The attractive village centre with a good selection of shops, cafés and bars and much of the main street is a pedestrian area. In the evening you can enjoy Tyrolean shows and brass band concerts, candlelit walks and a selection of cosy bars and nightclubs. St Anton offers you everything from good sports and leisure facilities to the 'Ski and Folklore Museum'.
Walking
St Anton has some of the best walking in Western Tirol with 270km of marked walks. From the heart of the village you can ride high into the mountains on the Galzig gondola lift. The tourist offices will give you advice on walking routes and organise regular guided walks. You can easily explore the alpine meadows, forests and beautiful mountain streams using the summer lifts (opening dates vary from mid June to end Sept).

Activities
St. Anton has a lot to offer including - horse-riding, mountain-biking, canoeing, rafting, canyoning, climbing, golf (6 holes) and fishing. The superb spa oasis - "Arlberg-well.com" has indoor and outdoor pools (from £5 for adults) a fitness room, tennis courts and more.
Prior to late-June the resorts is very quiet. Some activities and facilities, including the leisure centre and buses, may not be operating. Children programmes can be book locally for a minimal fee.
