Resort Information
The pretty village of Kirchdorf has a lovely setting in the heart of the Austrian Tirol, close to the market town of St. Johann. The Wilder Kaiser mountains provide a stunning backdrop for a wide variety of activities including ballooning, paragliding, family rafting, canoeing, horse trekking, canyoning and mountain biking - a great place to try out something new. You can also discover this beautiful area on foot with 100km of hiking trails or choose from our wide variety of away days to explore further afield. In the village itself you can relax in the Kaiserquelle Wellness Centre with outdoor swimming pool and indoor spas or experience local culture at the many events taking place throughout the summer.
Walking
There are 100km of marked walking trails in the area so you can choose from gentle strolls along the valley floor to a variety of hikes up in the surrounding Wilder Kaiser mountains. From Kirchdorf you can stroll along the river and through meadows to St Johann or follow the "dwarf pines" theme trail through the forest. Kirchdorf is also the starting point for beautiful walks into the unique Kaiserbachtal valley nature reserve.

Activities
The Mountain High Adventure Centre is based in Kirchdorf and offers a superb range of activities for everyone, including beginners and families. Qualified guides will guarantee you have an unforgettable experience whether you choose to try paragliding, canyoning, white water rafting, canoeing, family rafting, ballooning, horse trekking, mountain biking or climbing. There's also an abseiling garden in the forest with climbing walls, ravines and rope swings.
Kirchdorf has over 70km of bike trails and many of these are gentle routes along the valley floor, perfect for families or those new to mountain biking. You can cycle along the scenic valley trail to St Johann or follow the river adventure trail to Erpfendorf. Cycle maps and bikes are available locally.
At the Kaiserquelle Wellness Centre you can relax in the indoor spas and therapy centre or enjoy the solar-heated outoor swimming pool with 50m water slide and children's pool. There are many golf courses nearby (car hire recommended) and other activities in Kirchdorf include minigolf, tennis and fishing.
