Walking Guide
Achensee Hiking Programme
FREE with your guest card you can join the tourist office on a variety of walks, an ideal way to explore this beautiful area.
Tuesday - A slow paced walking tour and an easy introduction to 'Hiking with Heart'; you'll receive a pulse watch to monitor your walking speed together with tips on safety, first aid and weather.
Wednesday - Full day hiking tour to the Rofanspitz (2259m) where you'll enjoy spectacular views and gain an insight into local flora and fauna.
Thursday - Full day hiking tour to the Hochplatte (1813m) with up to 6 hours walking.
Friday - Full day hiking tour to the Kögljochsattel, the 'most beautiful end of the world'. Please note: Pre-registration required at the tourist office the day before the walk (excluding Monday); Programme subject to change; Local charge for any public transport/lift tickets not covered by Achensee Discovery Card; You will need sturdy walking boots with ankle support, waterproof clothing, drinking water and packed lunch, walking poles are recommended.
